2021 Fixed Income Full Time Analyst Program: Commodities Trading
The Analyst Program provides undergraduate students an opportunity to master the analytical, quantitative and interpersonal skills necessary for an exciting and rewarding career on Wall Street. With a flat structure and an open trading floor, you will collaborate with more experienced colleagues and learn from experienced Sales & Trading professionals.
Training program
All new Analysts participate in an extensive orientation program which covers the Firm’s businesses, the transition from an academic setting to a corporate environment and opportunities to establish a network throughout the Firm. Fixed Income Analysts then attend divisional training where they learn core skills required to be successful on the job. The curriculum includes daily market updates, accounting, credit risk analysis, business overview speaker series, fundamental and advanced product and technical training, and registration preparation. In addition, Analysts have several opportunities to network with peers, mentors and managers through team-building sessions and other organized events.

Key Responsibilities
Conducting in-depth economic analysis for management of proprietary, flow and structured transactional risk-taking activities
Estimating the risks associated with positions and potential trading strategies
Creating fundamental economic forecasts based on supply and demand estimates for various commodities and pricing regions
Utilizing statistical tools to review internal databases to identify trends and statistical patterns
Partner with team to identify, interpret, summarize, communicate, forecast and monitor risks and performances of global trading group active in energy, agricultural and metal markets globally.
Qualifications
You must be pursuing an undergraduate or Master’s degree; in your final year of study with a minimum 3.0 GPA
You’ve had at least one internship in a Finance-related field (preferred) and have a genuine interest in the financial markets
You are analytical, adaptive, a leader yet team player, as well as a multi-tasker.
You possess strong oral and written communication skills.
Service oriented with an ability to build relationships with key client decision makers
Effective decision-making skills
Operate in a team environment and provide seamless support to clients
Effectively interface with internal colleagues
Programming experience preferred but not a prerequisite
