2023 Finance Apprenticeship Program (Glasgow)
We currently have opportunities for school leavers to undertake a five-year Graduate Apprenticeship in MAcc Master of Accountancy delivered in partnership with Glasgow Caledonian University, beginning in September 2023. This course will enable successful candidates to exit with both an MAcc in Accountancy and Chartered Accountant status with ACCA.
Whilst working at Morgan Stanley, we will support you to achieve your degree. You will benefit from theory-based learning as well as the opportunity to develop practical accounting and financial skills whilst developing your grasp of business. It is designed to give students expertise that they can use in the real world, an opportunity to learn the theory of accounting while putting it into practice too.
Your responsibilities
• A passion for Accountancy and Finance
• Preparation of files and reports for month-end and daily processes
• Data gathering/mining for reports
• Using analytical tools to determine current and potential exposure to risk -Preparing monthly financial and management reports
• Assisting with completion of annual company tax returns
• Reporting on the firm’s liquidity
• A basic understanding of the types of work undertaken within a Finance division
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Good attention to detail
Requirements
• You are working towards, or have achieved, a minimum of 4-Scottish Higher Grades at BBBB, including Mathematics and English. Graduate Apprenticeships are for those based in Scotland. These opportunities, funded by the Scottish Government through Scottish Funding Council and SAAS.
Please note that the Apprenticeship programme is open to Scottish Students, in their 5th or 6th year of High School. Early Applications are encouraged, as recruitment is ongoing.
The programme start date will be September 2023. The deadline for applications is the 12th March 2023.
We are hosting events in early 2023 to support your application and allow you to meet representatives from the divisions, ACCA and Glasgow Caledonian University. During the event, there will also be a Q&A with our former apprentices. Details are below;
