The International Equity team, part of our Active Fundamental Equity capability, follows a disciplined investment process based on fundamental analysis and bottom-up stock selection, with sector, industry and stock weights driven by an assessment of each stock’s quality and value characteristics. The team’s long-term investment horizon seeks high-quality businesses that have the potential to compound shareholder wealth over time.
The Morgan Stanley International Equity Summer Analyst Program in London runs for 10-weeks and offers you the opportunity to join a world class equity boutique including firm training and networking as well as on the desk training.
TRAINING PROGRAM
London-based training begins in June with one week of intensive classroom training, including an introduction to Morgan Stanley, followed by team specific training. Throughout the internship, you will be exposed to business speakers and practical sessions as you continue to become familiar with the asset management industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research a variety of equity sectors and contribute to idea generation and portfolio management of international and global portfolios
- Understanding the key financial messages of the team and working with the team, the Firm, Investment Management Marketing and Compliance to generate traditional and digital content
- Liaising with the investment team and portfolio specialists to distil key messages and generate content ideas and timelines.
- Improving and reviewing existing proposals, materials and digital content.
- Presenting updates on competitor and industry best practices
- Provide broad-based support to the team’s investors, credit analysts and client-facing staff
- Involves a range of analytical, client-service and marketing-related tasks
- Dealing with client reporting, creating materials, assisting with the completion of requests for proposals (RFPs), and answering general client requests
QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS/ REQUIREMENTS
- You are pursuing an undergraduate or Master’s degree, minimum 2.1 with an expected graduation date between December 2024 and July 2025
- You are a top performer in any academic field with a demonstrable interest in business, finance and investment
- You are fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. An ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages would be an advantage
- You have basic knowledge and a keen interest in financial markets and equities in particular
- You are analytical, adaptive, a leader yet team player, as well as a multi-tasker. You can present your conclusions in a clear and well-structured manner
- You are self-motivated, curious and have entrepreneurial spirit
- You have advanced knowledge of Excel.
