You are invited to “Insights from an Insider” featuring George Van Amson, Managing Director in Institutional Equity Sales and Trading
We invite current undergraduate freshmen and sophomores from all majors who identify as Black, Hispanic or Native American to meet diverse professionals and become familiar with the Firm’s business and culture. Come gain insight into the financial services industry and get tips on navigating the recruiting process.
George Van Amson joined Morgan Stanley in 1992 and currently serves as Head of North American Analyst and Associate Advising and Development Programs. His previous positions include Head of North American Recruiting in the Institutional Equities Division, Manager of the Sales Trading Service Desk for Global Wealth Management clients, and Senior Sales Trader managing Institutional Cash Sales Trading coverage of hedge funds, asset managers, pension funds and mutual funds. A 35-year veteran of Wall Street with experience in domestic and international markets, Mr. Van Amson was named in 1992, 1996 and 2006 to Black Enterprise Magazine’s “Top African Americans on Wall Street.”
Mr. Van Amson received his BA in Economics from Columbia College and MBA with second year honors from Harvard. He currently serves as a Trustee Emeritus of Columbia University and Chair Emeritus of Columbia Alumni Association.
