What to expect from the event
Trainers from Amplify Trading will walk you through the basics, including providing an industry overview, a broad introduction to trading, covering market structure, liquidity and the performance metrics for each role. This will help equip you for the simulation exercise that follows.
During the simulation sessions you will have the opportunity to rotate roles as a market maker, sales trader and execution trader. In this role-play game format with realistic market movements, you will be able to better understand the objectives and responsibilities of each role. Your trainer will also provide feedback on your individual performance.
What you will gain from this event
The event will equip you with basic knowledge in finance, particularly the trading function. Through the practical simulation exercise with the Firm’s trading staff, lunch and networking sessions as well as post-event mentorships with Morgan Stanley employees, you will be able to visualize a day in the life at Morgan Stanley.
This event will give you exposure to a top employer in the industry and deeper understanding of the various trading and finance career options available to you. We hope the program will also provide additional insight as you consider your university major options and overall career planning.
