2019 Finance Summer Analyst Program (New York)
PLACEMENT AND DURATION
The Finance Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week direct placement program that begins in June. The curriculum includes an orientation to the Firm, senior management speaker seminars, a group project, and social and networking events to build Summer Analysts' professional networks. The Program also includes peer mentors and community service events.
TRAINING PROGRAM
The Summer Analyst Program includes a one-day firmwide orientation, followed by one day of business unit-specific training. The remainder of the training is on the job.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work collaboratively in a high-performing team to ensure the integrity of Morgan Stanley's books and records
- Provide reporting and analysis to Business Units, Senior Management and Regulators
- Continuously improve or enhance processes for increased control and/or efficiency
- Develop an understanding of Finance terminology and divisional structure
- Partner with other summer analyst on a group project, proposing a process improvement or a solution to a business challenge
QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS/ REQUIREMENTS
- You are currently a Junior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or a related major
- You have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 You have advanced technical and quantitative skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- You possess excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills; you have strong teamwork and collaboration skills; you are motivated and resourceful; you possess project and process management capabilities; you demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- You demonstrate a strong interest in financial services
