The Taiwan Summer Internship Program starts in June 2026 and is a 10-week program designed to give you an opportunity to work on tangible projects for your Business Unit (BU) and to learn more about Morgan Stanley Taiwan. 

BUs participating in this year’s internship are listed below. You will be asked when completing your application to select three BUs in order of preference, that you would be most interested interning with and we will do our best to accommodate. You will spend the full 10 weeks with this group.

  • Compliance: Identify and assess compliance risks, and provide guidance on designing an effective compliance risk management program that supports the Firm’s commitment to delivering first-class business in a first-class way.
  • Firm Management: Supports senior Morgan Stanley decision-makers in reinforcing our leadership in global financial services. The group advises on strategic alternatives by analyzing industry dynamics across business lines.
  • Institutional Equity Division: From global institutions to hedge funds, investors turn to Morgan Stanley for sales, trading, and market-making services across nearly every type of financial instrument in all major markets worldwide. Our professionals leverage the Firm’s platform and technology to exchange ideas, provide liquidity, manage risk, and execute reliably in today’s fast-changing environment.
    Note: This will be a 6-month program, not just 10 weeks.
  • Operations: Supports clients’ trading and stock loan activities in the Taiwan market. The team manages client onboarding, clearing, and settlement while navigating technology changes to ensure efficient processes with strong controls. They also collaborate with business units to develop new businesses and markets globally.

  • Research: Morgan Stanley has earned an enviable reputation for the originality of its research and the value it creates among investors and decision makers. Consistently ranked among the top in its field, our Equity Research team looks at economic, market, industry and company data to enhance the performance of clients' global portfolios and to help companies set their strategic direction.
  • Technology: Works closely with our business units and technology teams across the firm to drive innovation and strengthen our capabilities in an increasingly global and dynamic financial environment. As part of our transformation journey, we are deeply invested in adopting advanced technologies, with a strong focus on AI, cybersecurity, and risk management. These investments enable us to develop cutting-edge tools, intelligent systems, and robust infrastructure that safeguard our operations, deliver actionable insights, and create a competitive advantage for our clients and the business. As interns in the technology field, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of finance by driving innovation and ensuring resilience in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Training Program

This structured program is designed to provide deep insights into the division you will work with, complemented by hands-on experience through targeted assignments. It offers a unique opportunity to strengthen your analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal skills—essential for building an exciting and rewarding career. You will begin with a local orientation session and participate in a series of networking events with colleagues and senior leaders across the Asia region.

 

Role and Responsibilities

You will work alongside high-caliber professionals in an international setting, gaining first-hand experience in a fast-paced environment. You’ll take on substantive responsibilities that enable you to deliver real impact. Responsibilities may include:

  • Projects – complete targeted assignments designed to build expertise and add value
  • Team Collaboration – work with colleagues across your BU to solve problems and address business-critical issues
  • Research & Analysis – conduct research to understand current trends, reconcile data, analyze numbers, and make actionable recommendations
  • Execution – support ad-hoc day-to-day tasks as assigned by your BU


Qualifications and Skills

  • You are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree with a graduation date between October 2026 and July 2027. Students from any degree/discipline are welcome to apply
  • Track record of academic excellence
  • Keen interest in your chosen business area
  • Genuine interest and understanding of Asian financial markets
  • Analytical, insightful, and quick to learn; a collaborative team player who excels at multitasking and maintains a positive attitude
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Past work or internship experience preferred
  • High degree of English fluency
