2026 Risk Management Internship Program (Mexico City)

Credit Risk

Assist in any necessary tasks needed to perform the activities outlined in the roles for legal entity risk management

 

  • Assist in the daily monitoring of legal entity risk exposure for Morgan Stanley broker dealer in Mexico
  • Assist in the preparation of Mexico legal entity risk exposure reports, risk committee and Board of Directors materials
  • Assist in regulatory, internal control and audit requirements
  • Assist with the automatization of processes
  • Deal and coordinate with different teams to understand and mitigate risks for the Mexican legal entity.

 

Main Responsabilities:

 

  • Legal entity risk monitoring and reporting for Morgan Stanley broker dealer in Mexico (MS Mexico)
  • Prepares daily risk control reports
  • Performs daily monitoring and escalation of Credit, Market, Liquidity, and non-discretionary risks/issues
  • Reports, escalates and trouble shoots data issues related to legal entity risk management exposure
  • Performs daily monitoring and escalation of Credit, Market, Liquidity, and Operational or non-discretionary risks/issues
  • Assists in the implementation of MS Mexico’s Risk Management Annual Plan and the compliance of local regulatory requirements
  • Understands and helps to mitigate risks that could impact MS Mexico
  • Summarize, prepare presentations, and present information in a succinct manner
  • Assist with presentations, projects, and reports using power point, word, and excel
  • Summarize data, include key points, and present ideas

 

Qualifications, Experience, Other Skills:

 

  • Academic background in Math, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Actuarial Science, or Economics is highly preferred
  • Candidate must have 1.5 to 2 years of remaining college studies before graduating
  • Proven VBA (Visual Basic) and programming knowledge (to be tested)
  • Proactive, with strong collaboration, problem solving and oral/written communication skills
  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Highly organized and able to adhere to tight deadlines
