2022 Investment Banking Full Time Analyst Programme - Real Estate (Frankfurt)
Morgan Stanley’s Real Estate Banking Group (MSREB) works with European public and private real estate companies, institutions and individuals on mergers and acquisitions, strategy advisory, and executions of public and private capital markets transactions.
Morgan Stanley's Investment Banking Division is looking for an Analyst to join our Real Estate team in Frankfurt.
Training Program
The Investment Banking Analyst Program begins in the summer with seven to eight weeks of intensive classroom training in London. This includes business presentations, practical sessions and the opportunity to exchange ideas and learn from your peers. You will join Analysts from Global Capital Markets, Sales & Trading, Research and Investment Management in the combined Institutional Securities Induction Program, followed by specific investment banking training. This covers accounting, valuation, advanced modelling, Morgan Stanley's proprietary analytical tools, information technology and financial products. You will then undertake regulatory training and exams. At the end of training, Analysts will be able to understand financial concepts, build a dynamic model and have a strong understanding of the Morgan Stanley culture.
Roles and Responsibilities
Analysts will typically work on a variety of transactions and take on significant responsibility for delivering specific elements. The work is challenging, and Analysts will be an integral part of coverage and project teams and dig into financial statements and think creatively. Our lean deal team structure allows Analysts to work closely with senior officers on a variety of projects and assignments.
Responsibilities will include:
• Gathering and synthesising financial and operating information about real estate companies
• Creating and analysing financial models with a high degree of granularity
• Gathering market data to analyse trends and help value companies and price transactions
• Creating, drafting and taking ownership of presentations and memoranda for a wider audience both internally within the firm as well as externally
• Attending and contributing to team discussions and client meetings
• Helping to manage and assist in the execution of corporate finance transactions
Qualifications and Skills
• Strong analytical and modelling skills paired with an interest in the real estate sector
• Knowledge of accounting and financial concepts
• You are a results-driven team player who performs well under pressure and against tight deadlines
• Fluent in German and English and excellent oral and written communication skills are essential; ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages is helpful, however, not a necessity
• You are committed to excellence and maintain high professional and ethical standards
