2020 Compliance Full Time Analyst Program (New York)
Placement and duration
The Compliance Full Time Analyst Program consists of two 12-month rotations with potential placements with a compliance advisory team that is aligned with one of our businesses or on a team covering specific global compliance functions, such as financial crimes, regulatory relations, information controls or global monitoring and testing. Analysts are assigned to roles that provide a strong foundation in both the advisory and oversight aspects of a compliance program. Full Time Analyst Program rotations may be in either our New York City or Purchase, NY offices.
Training program
The Full Time Analyst Program includes a one-day Firmwide orientation, followed by a two-week business unit-specific training program led by the Firm’s Learning & Development team. The training program focuses on business, technical and professional knowledge specific to Morgan Stanley and also provides networking opportunities. In addition, Analysts will attend an additional week of compliance-specific training designed to provide an understanding of Morgan Stanley's compliance program.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities vary depending on your role, but may include the following:
- Assisting a business with its launch of new products.
- Conducting due diligence (for example, financial crimes concerns) reviews of clients during the account opening process.
- Conducting monitoring and surveillance of transactions, employee activities and communications.
- Analyzing regulations, rules and various proposals; drafting and coordinating regulatory updates and compliance bulletins.
- Conducting research and assisting with responses to various regulatory inquiries and examinations.
- Attending meetings with clients.
- Reviewing and drafting policies, procedures, compliance manuals and developing/updating related training courses.
- Participating in compliance risk assessments and analysis of the compliance environment and controls for a line of business.
Qualifications/ Skills/ Requirements
- You are graduating between December 2019 and May 2020.
- You have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Track record of academic excellence.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize a variety of data to produce well-designed and meaningful summaries and reports.
- Adept at solving problems and developing efficient processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
