Division Overview
Securities Sales Division (SSD) is a leading group in sales across the market, and responsible for the sales work of equities (including IPO, private placement, CB, EB, etc.), bonds (including government bonds, corporate bonds, etc.). SSD integrates expertise in GCM and Investment Banking, offering clients seamless advice and sophisticated solutions. The Group work closely with Chief Investment Officers, Portfolio Managers, and Traders to deliver meaningful market insight and expertise, and to help clients successfully achieve their investment objectives.
Training program
Summer Analysts experience the culture and atmosphere of Morgan Stanley Securities (China) by taking on responsibilities of a Full Time Analyst for approximately 10 weeks. Summer Analysts are exposed to the deal process: including client development, investment ideas presentation and the fundamentals of sales work, and will gain an understanding of how the different areas of the sales interact.
Summer Analysts will work alongside experienced employees to learn how we build our client base and establish and maintain long-term client relationships. Assist with developing and presenting investment ideas and the fundamentals of selling and cross-selling the Firm’s products.
Responsibilities
- Over the course of the 10- week program you will participate in projects to help build a foundation of communication skills and a solid understanding of the markets.
- You will have a mentor and buddy to aid in your development and to provide greater exposure to SSD and the Firm.
- You will be encouraged to take on responsibility quickly and help bridge various topics from new trends in the marketplace to group overviews.
Qualifications/ Skills/ Requirements
- You are pursuing an undergraduate Bachelor’s or Master's degree with a graduation date between August 2022 and July 2023
- Possess basic knowledge of and a keen interest in finance
- Analytical, adaptive, multi-tasker, team player and have a strong work ethic and leadership skills
- Fluent in Mandarin and English, both verbal and written
- Skilled in using MS Office and databases such as Wind/Bloomberg/CIQ
