2023 Firm Management Off Cycle Internship – Central Outsourcing Control Office (Frankfurt)
Placement and Duration
The part-time Internship (up to 20hr a week) is an opportunity to experience the culture and atmosphere in the Central Outsourcing Control Office by taking on some of the responsibilities and functions of a Full-time Analyst for a short period. The internship typically lasts six to eight months, but can vary in length depending on business needs and candidate availability.
The cornerstone of Morgan Stanley's Outsourcing risk management philosophy is the execution of risk-adjusted supervision of outsourced services within a globally interconnected business model.
Training program
You will receive on-the-job training and benefit from working alongside experienced professionals on a variety of topics around outsourcing and regulations.
Partial remote working could be an option depending on specific conditions.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the Central Outsourcing Control team to help to:
- Execute internal project management
- Coordinate testing of various departments and test that outsourcing-related activities comply with the relevant requirements and standards of the regulatory system applicable to the MSEHSE Group; and
- Control that the MSEHSE Group outsourcing documentation and registers comply with internal requirements
The tasks specifically require:
- Coordinating and organising internal projects and regular reporting by tracking responses and chasing overdue tasks
- Testing of supervision documentation to ensure that outsourcing activities are appropriately monitored and controlled
- Testing of data quality in MSEHSE’s Group outsourcing and sourcing register and enhancement of data collection tools
- Preparation of reporting of Management Information
- Preparing of training documents and templates
Requirements
- You have a solid academic background (at least 5 semesters of business administration, economics or equivalent or bachelor´s degree with commercial law focus) and fluency in English. Knowledge of German is beneficial but not essential
- No specific outsourcing related background knowledge/ experience required
- You have good communication skills, both verbal and written
- You are detail oriented and work efficiently and precisely even within tight time constraints
- You have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently and effectively
- You are a strong team player; have an ability to collaborate with colleagues within the Outsourcing Control department and across the broader organization
- You are a self-starter with the ability to work independently
- You are driven, highly motivated and results-focused
