2018 Fund Services Summer Analyst Program
Summer Analysts are placed in roles based on their interests, feedback from the interview process and current business needs. Summer Analysts receive continuing on-the-job training throughout the program and benefit from working alongside experienced professionals on meaningful projects.
Summer Analysts begin with a one-day orientation to the Firm where they are introduced to the Firm's businesses, learn about what it is like to be an employee at Morgan Stanley, and network with other Summer Analysts throughout the Firm. Fund Services Summer Analysts then receive business-unit-specific training where they learn core skills essential to a successful summer. In addition to the initial training, Summer Analysts also receive considerable on-the-job training, a series of Lunch & Learns, networking events and work-shadowing opportunities.
Responsibilities
Summer Analysts may gain exposure to one or more of the following business areas:
- Investor Services: Provides day-to-day investor services to both the hedge fund manager and investors inthe fund.
- Accounting: Acts as point of contact for hedge fund clients for daily and monthly portfolio accounting.
- Technology and Risk: Manages the development and deployment of applications used by Fund Services.
- Documentation/Client Transition: Manages client agreements and hedge fund documents, as well as works with new Fund Services clients.
Qualifications/ Skills/ Requirements
- You are a current junior undergraduate student with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- You have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. •You have a strong Information Systems background.
- You are analytical, quantitative, adaptive, a quick learner, leader, team player, multi-tasker and possess a strong work ethic, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
