2023 Investment Management Fall Co-Op Program - Wealth Strategies Group
Program Overview
Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) hires undergraduate co-ops to simultaneously contribute to and learn about various groups within our division. Co-ops spend six months fully immersed in their work and MSIM culture, resulting in an enriching and formative experience.
Position Overview
Responsible for supporting sales efforts of Associate and Strategy Specialists for the firm’s high net worth sales team. This includes assisting with analysis requests, providing client service support, and assisting the team in requests that come through the group email inboxes and telephone line.
Responsibilities
Run transition and hypothetical analyses for use with financial advisors selling Eaton Vance products.
Master proprietary software applications to be able to pull and manipulate data for ongoing client servicing.
Update and maintain client relationship management application (SalesPage) as needed.
Assist with daily WSG team activity.
Assist the team with business development (i.e. territory campaigns for ongoing pipeline and new opportunities).
Contribute to reoccurring deliverables for senior management and ad hoc team projects.
Requirements
- Available to start in July 2023 and finish role at end of December 2023
- Ability to extend co-op into early January 2024 preferred
- Able to commute into downtown Boston for partial in-person working requirement
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date between December 2024 and June 2026
- Strong communication, sales ability, and presentation skills.
- Must be extremely motivated and have demonstrated sales success.
- Must be very comfortable with technology, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Team player, shows initiative/resourcefulness, actively seeks opportunities to make a contribution.
- Able to learn quickly, retain knowledge and information.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment.
- Be able to multitask and prioritize different projects.

In order to be considered, candidates must apply with their resume and transcript through the Morgan Stanley website. Resumes will be reviewed on a rolling basis starting January 12th, 2023 and continuing through February 28th, 2023 or until the role is filled, whichever comes first.
Expected base pay rate for the role will be between $30.00 and $40.00 per hour at the commencement of employment. However, base pay is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include discretionary bonuses and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
