About Finance Team
Morgan Stanley’s Finance Division protects the Firm by serving as guardian of the Firm’s books and records while contributing to our Firm-wide risk management responsibilities. The Finance Division manages the Firm’s financial and capital resources, prepares financial and regulatory reports, and helps maintain strong relationships with our regulators. We advise and support various business units by advising on business plans and forecasts, reviewing financial performance, and providing advisory services.
Broadly, the Finance function in India comprises of Legal Entity Controllers (LEC), Regulatory Reporting, Finance Risk and Assurance, Product Control and Financial Planning & Analysis. Analysts will be provided structured training and have the opportunity to work within one of these silos. The roles require individuals to work closely with colleagues in Finance and other Business Units.
About Finance Internship Program
The program has been designed to enable highly motivated professionals by providing a stimulating and supportive environment to understand the business and achieve the maximum potential. On joining, Summer Interns will spend eight - ten weeks within Finance Division where they will go through a structured training program that will provide an overview of the various Finance functions, products and system and applications that are used. During the internship there will be senior manager presentations and professional skills workshops to provide a well-rounded experience.
Successful candidates will develop and enhance their knowledge of finance and accounting by exploring the various financial aspects of one or more of the Firm’s business units.
Roles and Responsibilities
Candidates will be expected to:
• Understand the products and business.
• Understand the risk and reporting systems.
• Provide overview of daily reconciliation, substantiation, and analysis.
• Understand the regulatory framework and financial reporting.
The projects are presented to senior management, along with getting a first-hand experience of working on a project from inception to delivery.

• University student, graduating in 2025
• Good academic background in Business/Commerce with an interest in Financial Services.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of MS office preferably Excel.
• Strong communication skills.
