2023 Technology Spring Insight Program (Glasgow)
The Technology Spring Insight Programme runs in April for three days in Glasgow and will provide you with an overview of how Technology works within Morgan Stanley and the important role it plays at the firm. You will gain an insight into the different departments within the division.
Programme Overview
The programme consists of a mix of lecture-based sessions, educational activities, workshops and case studies, as well as the opportunity to work shadow in the division of your choice. Throughout the week, you will build on the skills necessary for a successful career in Technology. You will meet and network with Morgan Stanley employees from across all corporate levels and at the end of the programme could even have the opportunity to be fast-tracked to the 2024 Summer Analyst or Industrial Placement programmes.
Roles and Responsibilities
At Morgan Stanley, our Technology division is broken down into different areas. Below is an overview of the two different areas that you would have the choice to work in, should you join our Summer Analyst/Industrial Placement programmes.
- Enterprise Engineering Teams
Our engineering teams build cutting edge platforms to run every aspect of our business. This includes the Firm's networks, cyber security infrastructure, cloud integration, computing hardware, databases and much more. Projects available include developing pioneering data security solutions, managing global Windows and Linux infrastructure deployments, driving cloud adoption and working with state-of-the-art technology solutions. Our engineers work closely with internal business partners and external vendors at the forefront of the industry.
- Application Development Teams
Our development teams build applications that enable our business to perform. Covering the full software development lifecycle, day to day they typically meet with clients to gather and analyse requirements; determine, design and develop the optimal solutions for the problems our clients face; then test, deploy and enhance the applications in production. They work on a wide range of applications from streamlining complex reporting workflows to high-performing, low-latency electronic trading systems.
This Program is closed to applications.
