Quant Finance Prize for Excellence in Financial Markets (NY)
The annual Morgan Stanley Prize for Excellence in Financial Markets was established to reward brilliance in financial research among doctoral and masters students in the U.S. from top Finance, Mathematical Finance, Economic, Computer Science, and related quantitative programs.
A panel of Morgan Stanley Quantitative Finance professionals will evaluate submissions and three finalists will be chosen. Finalists will then be invited to Morgan Stanley’s headquarters in New York City on February 12, 2018 to present their results to the Morgan Stanley Panel and attend a celebratory reception, where the 1st place winner will be announced.
ELIGIBILITY
Interested applicants must be currently enrolled in a PhD or Master’s program in a quantitative field, with an expected graduation date of December 2018 or later.
TO PARTICIPATE
Interested participants should submit their resume to this application, and (pending eligibility) will receive a detailed description of the project requirement and data (via email). The project requirements will entail designing a market making/trading strategy based on a specified set of data.
PRIZE AWARDS
First Place Winner: $8,000 and a summer internship with Morgan Stanley Quantitative Finance.
- First and Second Runner Up: Accelerated interview process with Morgan Stanley Quantitative Finance.
