2021 Corporate Strategy & Development Full Time Analyst Program (Hong Kong)
Placement and duration
The Corporate Strategy & Development Analyst role is a two-year program in which the Analyst will have the opportunity to support the Firm’s senior management in the development and execution of critical corporate initiatives. The Analyst can expect to develop advanced problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and a deeper understanding of Morgan Stanley’s businesses in the region, as well as the broader financial services industry.
Responsibilities
As a Corporate Strategy & Development Analyst, you will contribute to the strategic thinking behind key decisions and discussions around the Firm’s top priorities. You will have different responsibilities subject to the projects you may be involved in, which typically include:
- Researching and evaluating market trends, emerging challenges / opportunities, and regulatory developments to form strategic insights and implications for the Firm’s businesses
- Conducting analyses such as competitive benchmarking to support the development and execution of the Firm’s strategies
- Partnering with colleagues from various business units / functions to help drive forward business initiatives
- Prepare presentations and supplementary materials for internal / external meetings and conferences for the Firm’s senior management
Qualifications / Skills / Requirements
- You are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree and will graduate before July 2021, or you hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with 1-2 years of prior professional work experience since graduation
- You have outstanding academic standing and professional achievement in prior work experiences
- You have a strong track record of leadership in an academic, professional, or extra-curricular setting
- You have exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
- You have the ability to review and synthesize complex information and form independent judgment, as well as sharp attention to detail
- You have strong work ethics and can work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
- You have outstanding communication skills and are able to convey complex ideas effectively and confidently, both verbally and in writing
- You have excellent time management skills, as well as the ability to meet competing deadlines and handle high-pressure situations
- You are culturally sensitive and adaptable, with a high level of maturity
- Fluency in English is required
- Ability to conduct research in Mandarin is required; fluency in spoken Mandarin is preferred
