2024 Technology Full Time Analyst Program (Hong Kong)

Training program
Starting in August, our global Technology Analyst Program (TAP) consists of a 8-week immersive training curriculum which accelerates talent, enabling them to become productive technologists quickly and poised to build long careers at Morgan Stanley. The program includes an orientation to Technology globally, intensive technical training, introduction to proprietary technologies. A key component of TAP is supporting Analysts to build strong global and regional peer networks. The comprehensive skills acquired during our training programs provide the tools necessary for the position.
Roles and Responsibilities
MS Development Environment (MSDE) team is responsible for shaping the SDLC/DevOps within Morgan Stanley by implementing the tools/systems, integrating with SaaS tooling, and defining processes used by all developers across the globe for software development and deployment.
The team is looking for a software developer to join the firmwide developer tools and systems group. The candidate will be working with a global team of experts on adding features and improving functionality of the Firm’s SDLC/DevOps platform - Train. Train is used by thousands of developers, across a diverse set of programming languages, technology stacks, and platforms, and is continually evolved to stay current with the state of art in SDLC practices and tooling.
• Develop new UI related features for SaaS tooling such as GitHub Enterprise Cloud.
• Improve the existing UI for on-premises Train reports and its backend Java services
• Refactor the existing UI testing framework for better testing
• Improve the existing backend services deployed in Cloud for SaaS integration
Qualifications / Skills / Requirements
• Bachelor's degree, Master's or PhD candidates in your final year of study and will graduate before July 2024, or with less than 1 year of prior professional work experience since graduation
• Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Software Engineering or other related technical majors.
• Hands-on development experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, Java and Python
• Good understanding of current best practices in application architecture, software design and code development, and software distribution
• Prior experience/knowledge in the financial industry is not required
• You are detail oriented, and a critical thinker who can anticipate issues and solve problems.
• You have excellent problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and analytical skills.
