Intern roles at Parametric will be part of our hybrid working model – this includes working in the office 2 to 3 days a week and choosing where one works best the remaining days of the week. GENERAL DESCRIPTION How do design, content marketing, and business strategy intersect? As a design intern, you’ll play an impactful role across multiple projects on a growing and dynamic creative and design team. You’ll also have an opportunity to learn about the financial services industry and the innovative investment strategies that are pushing it forward. At the end of this program, you’ll: - Learn the basics of project management and design’s role on the marketing team
- Learn how to produce on-brand assets and complete projects on deadline
- Learn how to retouch and manipulate images
- Learn how to develop digital assets from templates to produce high-quality content pieces
- Learn how to create interactive charts and graphs using Ceros and Adobe Creative Cloud applications
- Produce a “how-to” guide for developing and deploying interactive charts and graphs to be shared with current and future design team members
- Develop a working knowledge of the Workfront platform for project management
- Collaborate with both the digital and the design teams to produce assets and materials for social media and the firm’s websites, both internal and external
- Learn about in-house design and marketing teams and their functions
JOB REQUIREMENTS - Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related programs
- Portfolio of student work demonstrating skill in layout, illustration, or other graphic design discipline
- Strong proficiency in both Mac and PC environments
- Driven and motivated individual who seeks to continually grow and learn
- Appetite to learn how content strategy, communications, and traditional marketing meet digital
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage multiple projects at once
- Basic understanding of CSS and HTML
- Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
