This is an internship opportunity in our Institutional Equity Division within the Sales & Trading department based at our Paris office. The internship will be 6 months in duration starting in July 2017.

The Off-Cycle Internship Role in Institutional Equity

The Institutional Equity division is a global leader in the origination, distribution and trading of equity, equity-linked and equity-derivative securities. The Firm's equity sales & trading operations provide liquidity, distribute content, and create product solutions to help our clients generate alpha.
Interns will have the opportunity to develop and master the analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal skills they will need to succeed. The firm’s organizational structure offers opportunities for collaboration with more experienced colleagues and interaction with senior professionals.
For our Institutional Equities Division in Paris, we are looking for a student having successfully achieved a Bachelor or Master degree who would like to join our Equities Team with the following main responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities
Writing detailed investment cases on European publicly-traded companies (mostly EU Large Caps, but also US & Asian stocks).
Conduct deep-dives on particular sector-wide issues (US food producers, the luxury perfumes market, telecom tower operators… etc.).
Assemble the team’s morning email: write stock pitches on the latest recommendations of Equity Research analysts, gather highlighted key macro/micro news
Once a week, assist remotely to the macroeconomics & strategy conference, then work on the key points mentioned
Identity thematic investment ideas : European Small & Mid-Caps, ‘Quality’ ideas in a ‘Buy & hold’ approach, short ideas, SRI names …etc.

Have strong skills in Excel and VBA

Fluent in English and French
