The Intermediary Governance team performs due diligence of new and existing intermediaries and fund investor/intermediary legal agreement coordination.
Due diligence involves fully understanding the business model, reviewing negative news and sanctions list alerts and reviewing AML documents.
Legal agreement coordination covers managing new and updated legal agreements from drafting through to negotiation and signing. This is carried out in partnership with the Sales team and often requires input from the Legal team.
The internship will commence by Jan 2023 and typically lasts six months. This internship will offer you an exciting and a dynamic work environment where you get to work alongside our diverse group of experienced professionals. The work that you do will be interesting and varied.
TRAINING PROGRAM
You will receive on-the-job training and benefit from working alongside experienced professionals on a variety of projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Focus on due diligence of existing intermediaries:
- Review of intermediary including screening results and document review
- Escalations internally if applicable
- Documenting the review
- Keeping status documents updated
The role will also involve:
- due diligence of new intermediaries as well as drafting new and updated fund agreements.
- helping with board reporting, ad-hoc requests, or projects
You will attend meetings with internal and sometimes external participants.
You will have the opportunity to experience the culture and atmosphere of our Investment Management Division by taking on many of the responsibilities and functions of a Full-time Analyst. This internship lasts six months.
This role will enable you to deepen your knowledge of the investment management industry and intermediaries, gain an understanding of fund legal agreements and interact with multiple teams across investment management.
QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS/ REQUIREMENTS
- You will have graduated (or be able to take the time off to commit for a full-time internship role for six months if you are currently in study) and have a strong interest in finance.
- You are fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. An ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages would be an advantage
- You are analytical, adaptive, a leader yet team player, as well as a multi-tasker. You can present your conclusions in a clear and well-structured manner
- You are self-motivated, curious and have entrepreneurial spirit
- With a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn
