2022 Technology Full Time Analyst Program (Glasgow)
Placement and duration
Analysts will be pre-placed to a department within Technology and, upon completion of the training program, they will join a technology team that best matches their skills and interests. We welcome Analysts for this program in August.
Training program
Analysts join in August. Depending on their technical skills, graduates attend either the Application Development or the Enterprise Engineering track of the training program. This 15-week global program includes an orientation to the Firm, intensive technology training and an introduction to proprietary technologies, and culminates with a four-week group project. The Program allows graduates to build a strong network among their peers and build the comprehensive skills required to prepare them for a full-time role and a long-term career.
Responsibilities
Enterprise Engineering Teams: Our engineering teams build cutting edge platforms to run every aspect our business. This includes the Firm's networks, cyber security infrastructure, cloud integration, computing hardware, databases and much more. Projects available include developing pioneering data security solutions, managing global Windows and Linux infrastructure deployments, driving cloud adoption and working with state of the art technology solutions. Our engineers work closely with internal business partners and external vendors at the leading edge of the industry.
Application Development Teams: Our development teams design, develop and maintain applications used by our business units. Daily activities include meeting with clients to gather and analyze requirements. They make system design decisions, evaluating, integrating and developing necessary software, and then test and deploy applications to production. Developing high-performing, low-latency electronic trading systems, and evolving complex workflows and life-cycle management capabilities are just some of the projects available for developers.
Qualifications/ Skills/ Requirements
Development/Enterprise Engineering: You must be studying towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a Computer Science or other STEM based subject. You should have a strong understanding of Operating Systems, familiar with foundations in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Java or C++) with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for Technology.
