About Our Technology Teams
Application Development
Our development teams design, develop, maintain, and protect applications used by our business to deliver first-class business in a first-class way for our clients. Developers build and make system design decisions, then integrate, test and deploy those applications into production.
Cybersecurity
Cyber Security team’s mission is to proactively deliver first-line defenses to manage Cyber and Fraud risks to our technology, operations and information through risk identification, control management and assurance. Our teams deliver programs that protect and enable the business, ensure secure delivery of services to clients, adjust to address the risks presented by an evolving threat landscape and meet regulatory expectations.
Enterprise Engineering
Our engineering teams provide cutting-edge enterprise-wide systems, architecture and infrastructure on which our business runs. Engineers build, maintain and protect our tools, applications and platforms such as networks, operating systems, hardware, and databases for trading and mobile applications, in addition to fulfilling essential end-user needs across the Firm.
Summer Analyst Program
The Summer Analyst Program at Morgan Stanley Shanghai is a 10-week full-time internship commencing early July 2024. The program is designed to offer a real-world, project-based experience that will demonstrate first-hand what it’s like to be a technologist for a world class financial firm.
Interns who excel in the Summer Analyst Program are prioritized for an offer to join Morgan Stanley’s full-time Technology Analyst Program (TAP) upon graduation from university in 2025.
Qualifications/ Skills/ Requirements
- You are pursuing a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or PhD expecting to graduate between September 2024 and July 2025, preferably with a major specializing in computer science, software engineering, cybersecurity or any other IT-related major
- Superior technical skills, including a strong understanding of Linux/Unix and Windows, competency in at least one programming language (e.g., C++, Java, Python) as well as experience in object-oriented development
- A good communicator, not only fluent in English, but also capable of explaining and articulating complex technical concepts
- A passion for learning combined with excellent team spirit
- Applicants must have the right to work full-time in Mainland China
