WE OFFER
- The Investment Management Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week program consisting of one week of training and nine weeks working within a specific IM team.
- Across all IM teams, the curriculum is designed to equip Summer Analysts with the fundamental skills they need to be successful in IM.
- During the 10-week program, Summer Analysts experience the culture and atmosphere of Morgan Stanley by performing a role similar to a Full-Time Analyst.
YOU WILL
Summer Analysts in IM Global Sales & Marketing will work in one of the following groups, which will be determined as part of the interview process: Distribution Management, Sales, or Marketing. The roles and responsibilities can vary by group and may include:
Distribution Management:
- Create analyses and presentations relating to business goals, initiatives, and progress versus benchmarks
- Maintain team information in CRM systems and prepare analytical reports for senior management
- Run various daily and ad hoc reports to assist senior management in making strategic decisions
Sales:
- Communicate across functional areas of the firm including investment teams, distribution management, product management, marketing, legal and operations to ensure seamless execution of both client and internal requests
- Prepare pipeline and activity reports for senior management (using SalesForce)
- Update and maintain consultant databases with firm and strategy information
- Assist with marketing materials, including sales presentations, customized client-specific pitch books, and product performance analyses
- Analyze competitive landscape to understand product positioning
- Identify new business opportunities using third-party databases
Marketing: Work on a variety of projects across the different marketing teams that may include:
- Metrics management
- Product competitive analysis
- Website implementation
- Updating and drafting language for marketing materials and proposals
- Updating stock language in databases
QUALIFICATIONS
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree and will graduate between December 2021 and June 2022
- Analytical and quantitative skills, preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong team player; ability to collaborate with colleagues across Global Sales & Marketing and the broader organization
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Driven, highly motivated and results-focused
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently and effectively
- Detail oriented and have the ability to work efficiently within tight time constraints
