Parametric - Business Intelligence Internship 2023 - Multiple offices

 Parametric is part of Morgan Stanley Investment Management, the asset management division. We partner with advisors, institutions, and consultants to build portfolios focused on what’s important to them and their clients. A leader in custom solutions for more than 30 years, we help investors access efficient market exposures, solve implementation challenges, and design multi-asset portfolios that respond to their evolving needs. We also offer systematic alpha and alternative strategies to complement clients’ core holdings.

Internships are not remote. Office location could be : Seattle, NY, Boston, Alpharetta or Westport, CT.

Intern roles at Parametric will be part of our hybrid working model – this includes working in the office 2 to 3 days a week and choosing where one works best the remaining days of the week. Eligible applicants must be able to work in assigned office. 100% remote is NOT available.

 Intern salaries will be at a set $25 per hour. Position is not eligible for benefits. Apply by March 31, 2023.

The Business Intelligence Intern is responsible for activities supporting the BI program at Parametric, deepening the understanding of data driven decisions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing and training on Tableau skills
  • Review current standards to make sure that all documentation aligns to current best practices
  • Identification and implementation of process improvement, using automation when possible
  • Validate reports and automate report delivery
  • Profile data to clean, enrich and curate datasets
  • Support BI Center of Excellence (education/training, intranet management)

PROJECTS INCLUDE:

  • Inventory and maintenance of Tableau reports
  • Procedures/Documentation
  • Supporting Tableau training at scale

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong competency in MS Office, especially in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong teamwork, communication, interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Working knowledge of SQL. Ability to understand data structures and write code in SQL to extract information.
  • Basic data analytics. Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Working knowledge of Business Intelligence software (Tableau, Power BI), Alteryx a plus
  • Finance, Economics, Business, or Computer Science (Information Science) major
