You will hear from both our Bank Resource Management and Graduate Recruitment Team members what it is like to work in Bank Resource Management at Morgan Stanley and how to prepare for the interview process.
Bank Resource Management (BRM) at Morgan Stanley:
- Securities Lending (Global Markets): Borrow equity securities from the world’s largest lending institutions and work on lending functions to our hedge fund clients.
- Fixed Income Client Financing: Work to provide liquidity to clients in fixed-income products, and analyse market rates and economic drivers, such as Central Bank operations and monetary policy.
- Secured Funding: Use Repo and Stock Loan products to finance the Firm’s inventory of equity and fixed-income securities. Understand the Firm’s secured funding framework and governance and work with traders in executing secured funding trades within this framework.
- Resource Optimisation: Efficiently manage the Firm’s margin requirements with Financial Market Intermediaries.
- Sales and Marketing: Evaluate client portfolios and perform analysis on business opportunities.
- Strategy: Work on BRM and Firm strategic and regulatory initiatives and work with trading desks to optimise trading performance within the strategic aims of the Business.
- Business Management: Understand balance sheet management, risk controls around all of BRM’s business areas, management of capital, and client analytics.
- Business Unit Risk Management: Ensure the business operates within its defined operational risk tolerances.
